“This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.”
— John 17:3
At Cedar, our student ministry exists to help young people know Christ, love Christ, and follow Christ. We believe the teenage years are not a spiritual holding pattern but a decisive crossroads where truth takes root, convictions are formed, and the soul begins to see the glory of the Savior.
Our aim is earnest and simple: to see students come to saving faith in Jesus Christ and grow—
through God’s Word—in joy, holiness, obedience, and steadfast love for Him and His church.
How We Pursue This
We believe God matures students through His ordinary, faithful means:
1. The Preaching of God’s Word
Students sit under the same expositional preaching as the entire church each Sunday morning.
We want them to see that Scripture is not just for adults—it is the anchor for every soul.
2. Sunday Morning Discipleship
Through Bible study, gospel conversations, and intentional fellowship, students learn to understand Scripture, apply Scripture, and treasure Scripture—together. This is where convictions are shaped, questions are welcomed, and truth takes root.
3. Intentional Life-on-Life Investment
We walk beside young men and women as they move toward adulthood. We want them not merely to attend youth ministry, but to embrace a life shaped by Christ and committed to His church.
4. Purposeful, Joyful Fun
Friendships matter. Laughter matters. Shared memories matter. We plan activities and events that build unity and open doors for deeper discipleship.
Our Heart for Parents
Parents are the God-given primary disciplers of their children. Our ministry joyfully partners with you—supporting, equipping, and encouraging you as you lead your student toward Christ.
We meet every Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. If you have any questions, please reach out to our pastoral intern over youth, Zach Tullis, at zach@cedarbaptist.org
