Women of the Word exists to help the women of Cedar Baptist Church know God by knowing His Word. We are committed to the systematic study of Scripture, believing that God grows His people through the faithful teaching and personal study of His Word (2 Timothy 3:16–17).
Through a survey of the Bible, this ministry aims to ground women in the whole counsel of God, helping them understand the unity of Scripture, the flow of redemptive history, and the centrality of Christ. In keeping with Titus 2, Women of the Word encourages intergenerational discipleship, meaningful fellowship, and mutual accountability centered on sound doctrine.
Our goal is not only to place women under faithful instruction, but to equip them to engage the Bible daily for themselves—growing in discernment, obedience, and joy as women shaped by the Word for the glory of God.
This Spring 2026, Women of the Word will focus on the first five books of the Bible—the Pentateuch. Together, we will trace God’s unfolding plan of redemption from Genesis through Deuteronomy, seeing how the foundations of the gospel are laid from the very beginning. No prior preparation is required—simply bring your Bible. A guided handout with discussion questions will be provided each week to encourage thoughtful engagement with Scripture and meaningful conversation with other women. And yes—coffee will be provided!
*Every meeting is on a Tuesday and starts at 6:30pm at Cedar Baptist Church.
